Instead of "Hosanna!"

It turns what we have into enough, and more. 

It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. 

It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. 

Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.

And to that I would add, gratitude gives a bad attitude perspective, it turns complaints to praise,

it revives that which was dead and it turns mourning to dancing.

Gratitude precedes miracles.

Thank you, Lord,

for the ways You're humbling me,

for reminding me of my utter dependence on You,

for opportunities to trust in You,

for the way community mirrors Your kingdom,

and for still having more grace. 

Instead of crying "Hosanna!" this morning,

help me to pray "to You be the glory."

Because You are oh so worthy.

On {Radio Silence & an Announcement}

So... I realize it's been a bit quiet over here for the past few months on this abandoned blog.

In short, it's because...

We're having a baby!! 

a baby boy to be exact.

[Coming May 2014]

 

And with all the excitement that comes with preparing for our little family to grow,

I've traded morning blog time for mornings bowing to the porcelain god.

I've traded public journaling for private little letters to my son.

I've traded stress and 'To Do' lists for rest and early bedtimes.

and I've traded the pressure of what I think I should be doing

for the pleasure of simply being.

May your days be filled with 

inspiration and encouragement, rest and simplicity

 eyes to see the pretty pennies God's given you

and the thoughtfulness and courage to share those blessings with others

all for His glory.
