Pretty in Pink

A couple weeks ago,
the girls celebrated our dear friend Katie and sweet baby Elle
with a pretty in pink afternoon baby shower.

And of course we all ooh'" and ahh'd
as she opened little fuzzy blankets,
beautiful hair bows,
and tiny tutus.

I can't wait for this little beauty to make her debut.
She's going to be absolutely precious.
And Katie is going to be such an excellent mom!

How's this for an enchanting Saturday morning?


I'm so excited for a relaxing Saturday.... visiting the local library for a few picture books, strolling around the lake, and enjoying conversation with a very dear friend. And maybe, just maybe, I'll start to get the Christmas decorations out. Pure joy my friends.

I hung out with this pretty girl today. It was refreshing and reminded me why I like her so much.

She's blatantly honest. Blatant.
She's self-aware.
She's generous and kind.
She makes me laugh.
She works hard and plays harder.
She's intentional.
And boy, she is absolutely gorgeous.

It's actually going to be a nice little Saturday

Yesterday, I got a new haircut and we had Mom & Dad McLeod over for dinner. The menu? Pesto chicken with tomatoes and mozzarella, garlic cilantro potatoes, grilled asparagus and fresh fruit. And for dessert, pizookie. Mmm. Now if only I didn't lose at cards every time we play.
