Empire State of Mind

I'm jumping out of my pants with excitement
because tomorrow morning
my mom, sister and I will be on a flight to
the beautiful big apple.

That place is magical.

But this blog won't be.
I'll be MIA for a few days.

Well, we brought Diana along too.

Here's our staycation through her point of view.

and this one turned out completely messed up,

STAYcation

My parents rented a cute little house in Coronado last week
and we took off a couple days to staycation with them.

When you live here, why wouldn't you?

It went a little something like this:

Eat. Play.

Bike. Eat. Draw. Read. Swim. Shop. Drink. Golf. Nap. Eat. Play.

Read. Eat. Walk. Read. Bike. Beach. Bike. Swim. Nap. Massage. Bike. Eat. Play.

Read. Eat. Nap. Read. Swim. Eat. Visit. Bike. Eat. Bike. Play.
Bike. Pay Respects. Bike. Eat. Bike. Play. Swim. Pose. Eat. Play. Relax.
Read. Bike. Eat. Bike. Walk. Drink. Bike. Eat. Read. Play. Eat. Play.

And of course picture-taking fits in there somewhere
er... everywhere
so I'll share a few

{Seattle}: Planes, Trains & Automobiles

We did a heck of a lot of walking in Seattle last week,
but to give our little feetsies a rest
we took all sorts of public transportation
{Yes, me heartttt public transit!!}

We rode the Link Light Rail to and from the airport,
we slipped on the Monorail to see the Space Needle,
and we took a cab over to Fremont and caught a bus back to the city.

It doesn't hurt that Seattle's public transit is
clean, reliable and super-de-duper cheap. :)
I highly recommend it!

And because all posts are better with a picture or two,
here's one of us waiting for the Monorail on our first day in town.
