Oh Domingo, You Feel Like Home

Yesterday we got our Sunday back. For the first time in quite a few months, it felt like a Sunday I was use to. A Sunday we were used to.

We planned to go to the early service at church, but when my alarm didn't go off in time, I spent the morning reading my Bible and blogging a bit instead. We made it to the second service at Newbreak -- and I'm glad we went. Looking for a new search is like getting back into the gym as Jeremiah says. It's just not terribly fun and it's something we've been putting off for the past few weeks. But the service this morning felt like home. And I loved that.

After church, we met up with Jeremiah's buddy Jacob for lunch at Uno's. We had plenty of errands to run at the mall, including gift buying for our sweet one-year-old buddies, so we spent a couple hours collecting items off our to do list. I swear I could pick out little girls' clothes all day. And, and that's a big AND, my oh-so-generous husband bought me a beautiful little dress at Antho. I'm pretty sure I've thanked him a hundred times already.

We came home to get some chores done, wrap a few gifts, and I made a birthday banner for Buddha's upcoming birthday. We watched the Olympics and caught up on last week's episode of 24.

It was one of those perfect Sundays that reminded me of the years when Sundays were all we got together. Except this Sunday, we also got to go home together.
Indeed, I fall more in love with that guy every day.

Mini Medals

While athletes from all over the world are in Vancouver earning giant pennies to wear around their necks, I'm counting quite a few pennies of my own this week:

spending a majority of my Tuesday listening to Silas while I worked.
enjoying a lovely weekend, though I wish it lasted longer (duh!)
getting a text message from a friend that I could totally identify with.
actually leaving the house a little early Tuesday morning.
relaxing monday and not getting home late from sewing.
getting a couple extra minutes of sleep when my alarm didn't go off two days in a row.
the Today Show in Vancouver: Olympics. Olympics. Olympics.
4-day work week. Enough said.
Snickerdoodle cupcakes.
a wonderful time at bible study.
finding a $20 bill on the bathroom floor at work.
Luke & Lor getting back together.
spending time with the hubs even with his test coming up tomorrow.
celebrating Friday with Starbucks and a pumpkin loaf.
a yummy new recipe I tried yesterday (thanks Carly!)
some good chats with my grandparents.
getting more money back from the feds than we expected.
a long-overdue phone date with my good friend.
and a relaxing friday evening coming my way!
